im on birth control and have been for 2 years, and this is the first time this has happened!. it's just been the past few days!. and my period is next week!. what could be the cause, could it be from stress!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, stress can be a factor!. many things can trigger breakthrough bleeding!. illness, change in diet, weight loss, etc!. if you've been taking the pill regularly, i wouldn't worry about it too much!. it just happens once in a while!. if it continues for more than 3 cycles, i'd get in touch with your gyn and see what they have to say about it!. maybe it would be time to change your type pill!.
