Answers:
No, they're definitely not cancerous & I strongly urge you to get a second opinion prior to committing to a hysterectomy!. I answered someone else's question on fibroids on this site -- I had them, had a myomectomy (tumor removal), kept my uterus & now I'm fine!. The largest tumor was the size of a grapefruit!. What my doctor did was put me on Depo Lupron, which temporarily introduced menopause!. Doing so cut down the size of the tumors b/c they feed off estrogen!. When they reduced in size the surgery was completed & I successfully recovered (got my period back about 2 months after the surgery when the Depo Lupron wore off)!.

Pls, pls talk to your doctor about putting you on Depo Lupron first to shrink the tumor(s)!. You may need to be on it for an extended period until the shrinkage is enough to perform the surgery!. Also, if you're on the pill, YOU MUST STOP TAKING IT!. It feeds the tumor too, making them bigger!.

I really hope this helps you!. Too many doctors, esp if uninformed about fibroids, want to immediately remove the uterus!. Now if you don't want kids/have enough of them then ok!. But your uterus is still an organ that regulate hormones & you need to make sure that you're ready for menopause at your age!. Whatever you do though get that second opinion & investigate the Depo Lupron option!. Check my profile; I've detailed my experience in other Answers -- I wish you the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
