Problems with my Period?!

Question: Problems with my Period!?
I am a 17 year old female weigh about 112-115 lbs and 5'4" tall!. I started my periods when I was 13 but I have never been what anyone would consider regular!. I never knew what day my period would come each month but at least it always did until last month!. Last month I did not even pretend to start!.!.!.Nothing! Which kind of worried me but not to the point of mentioning this to anyone because I know for a fact I could not be pregnant unless I happen to be the next Virgin Mary!. This month I started my period but it is quite different than anything I have ever experienced!. One would think with me missing last month completely I would have a very heavy period but this is not the case!. I have cramps really bad and because I am cramping so bad I have been wearing a pad instead of a tampon!.!.when I go to the bathroom to change my pad there is little to nothing on the pad but when I go to the bathroom to pee or whatever blood pours from me and it's very red also I have passed several clots nothing huge but some bigger than others!. Does this maybe have something to do with me missing last months period!?
I just really don't understand why I only bleed when I am sitting on the toilet!.!.should a wait a few days and see if it straightens itself out or should I have my Mother contact a doctor!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The older blood in your uterus could have caused the clots and the appearance of clots when you go to the bathroom, could be the cause of the blood not coming out like usual!. I wouldn't be too concerned unless the period goes over 8 days or so!. If you are really worried have your Mom contact your doctor for a check-up!.

If your period has always been irregular you should go see a doctor, you might have a hormonal imbalance or inovulatory bleeding (not ovulating) now that you have skipped!.
Or you may have a thyroid problem!. The doc should do some blood work on you for a multiple of things for general health and also a thyroid test!. That is a good place to start!. Hypothyroidism sometimes causes irregular periods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
