First thing: Familiarize yourself with your body!. Search for diagrams and grab a mirror!. You have three holes down there: Your urethra is toward the front, this is where you pee from and it is very small!. Your vagina is next!. If you're a virgin, you may have an intact hymen, which is a thin membrane just inside the vaginal opening, but this membrane will have a small opening to allow menstrual blood to pass, and tampons to be inserted!. Just behind the vagina is a small wall of tissue called the perineum!. The anus (where you poo from) is just behind that!.

Once you've figured out where your vagina is, wait until you start your period and then attempt to insert a small tampon!. Don't try it when you're not menstruating, because your vagina will be drier, and it will make it painful!. The blood will help the tampon slide in easier!. You'll feel a little bit of pressure, and possibly even a slight twinge of pain, but it's really no big deal!. Follow the instructions on the box to make sure you insert the tampon correctly!. If you've inserted it correctly, you shouldn't feel any pain once it's in!.

Removing a tampon is usually a little bit more uncomfortable than inserting one, because the tampon will have expanded in size a bit, both from filling with blood, and because it's designed to expand to block the flow of blood and prevent leaks!. Grab the string and pull!. You'll feel pressure, but only for a moment, then it will pop out and it'll be over with!.

Relax, it's really no big deal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A tampon goes in your vagina!. That is where the blood comes from when you have your period!. If you are unsure where your vagina is, you can check with your finger!. (Wash your hands before and after or you can wear a rubber glove!.) You may want to use some lubrication such as KY Gel!. Do not use anything oil based such as vaseline or mineral oil!. It's the only place you can get your finger in (Other than your bottom, which you will know)!. There are tampons that are pearlized, which slide in quite easily!. They also come in different sizes and shapes, depending on the amount of your flow!. (The amount that you are bleeding)!. Is there any chance you can have your Mom or a close friend help you with this!? You may have a little pain if it's the first time you are using a tampon!. Another resource maight be your school nurse!. Also, yu can do a yahoo search and a google search and there is a lot of good information there!. All tampons come with instructions how to insert them!. I know you are nervous, and you may want to practice it a few times before your party!. Good Luck and Have Fun!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start with the smaller teen size!. Relax!. Read the insert on the package it will give you detailed instructions!. The string is the only part of the tampon that will be outside of your body!. If it burns or it feels very uncomfortable, try again!. Removing a dry tampon isn't the nicest feeling, but don't worry if it doesn't come out with just a tug, you may have to tug just a little harder!. The best thing you can do is relax!.
Have fun at the "wet n wild"!Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont worry love!. buy a packet and you basic 'where to' and how to' information is in the packet!. it gives you advice to make sure you do it right!. but in saying that, you cant really do it 'wrong'!.

if you are using it for the first time then it may be painful, especially if you are not sexually active!. but by using a water based lube, you will have no problems!.

practise before you trip to wet and wild, dont let your period wreck a great day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There should be an instruction leaflet with the tampons, usually with well known brands!. that will tell you all about it!.
You'll know when it's not in properly as you'll be able to feel it, and you should NOT be able to feel a thing if it's in properly!. just practice a few times before the weekend, once you know how to put one in, it's the best thing ever!
I felt a little light headed when I put my first one in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Practice makes perfect!. There is only one hole down there big enough for a tampon to fit into!. Get a box and play with a few!. Practice using the applicator before trying to actually use one, and then try to put one in a few times!. Relax, take your time, and follow the directions on the package!. They come with detailed instructions with illustrations!. Good luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
