Am I being superficial?!

Question: Am I being superficial!?
I am going into an elective surgery to have a breast lump removed in a week!. It will leave a 5cm visible scar, and might cause tissue deformation!.
I am really conscious of the impact this could have on my physical relationship with my boyfriends afterwards, not because he would mind, but because I feel (because its elective and not cancerous) that I am doing damage to my body that isnt neccesary!.

My doctor wants it out because it is growing quite large!.

Are these feelings normal!?
I cant help but feel like I will regret it if I have the surgery, but also regret it in the future If I dont and It keeps growing!.

Help from some ladies would be great!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hon, please try to realize that you have to do what's right for your health now!. Your fears are normal, every woman who goes through this surgery has these feelings!. Since the lump is already enlarged you will be doing your body a huge favor getting it out, having cancer would be so much worse in terms of devastation!. You will never regret saving your own life! In terms of scarring, it should not be horrible, if you have a qualified surgeon I am sure he will work to keep that to a minimum!. Any post surgical scarring that you have will eventually fade too!. Just discuss this and any other issues with your doctor, I am sure he will be happy to reassure you in this matter!. I wish you only the best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the lump is growing it means it is going to get larger and eventually become visible (if it is not already) and that will look even worse and will probably be worse for your health!. As a male I can assure you a massive lump on a breast will be more of a turn off than some scar tissue!. Ask your boyfriend what he thinks and gets his input on that matter!. Get his advice as it is your relationship with him that you are worried about!.

The feelings you are getting are normal you are just worried and that is natural!. I would take your doctors advice and go for the surgery as he would have not recommended it if he did not think it was necessary!. That
