Question: Is it normal to have a REALLY thick mucousy bleeding while on birth control!?
i've got about a week and a half before i start the placebos, and all of the sudden today i started spotting and getting really bad cramps!.
when i got home it got worse and now it's like thick red mucous, it's really abnormal looking!. it looks like someone coughed up a bunch of big nasty red loogies!.
i'm taking yaz!.

It can be normal to have a thick discharge when on the pill as it is meant to keep the sperm from going up in to the vagina if one is using it to prevent pregnancy!. However, having it be reddish in color is not normal unless one is still trying to adjust to being on the medication!.
