Question: Problem deciding on weather or not to get tubes tied!?
my dr!. suggested i get my tubes tied during my c-section because this is my fifth c-section he thinks this should be my last pregnancy because i have had 5 c-section he feels that five is all my uterus can handle and if i decide to have another baby after this one my uterus my rupture because of being weak! i am so confused i don't want anymore kids but i want that to be my decision not his! it was a dr!. who decided on my first c-section and felt that i should always have one never gave me the opportunity to have a child naturally and now it is a dr who is going to decide that i don't have anymore kids!! i have already said that im not interested in getting my tubes tied but they just wont drop it! what can i say to these people to get them to drop it!
i will be having my baby in 5 weeks and i cant just stop seeing the dr!. and get new one so i am stuck with him he really is a nice guy but he wont give up on the tubal ligation thing!Www@Answer-Health@Com

in my opinion that should be your decision not your doctors!. there are many effective birth control methods out there!. if you are not 110% sure that its what you want to do, do not do it!. its something that is a lifelong commitment once you do it!.
you can take birth control for a while and then if you decide you want a more permanent method then consider getting your tubes tied!.

I think you should get the tubes tied!.!.!.it is for your health!.!.no other reason!.!.I can not believe you would not consider it, see how you have 5 babies and you would leave them without a mother if something really went wrong!.!.you have been pushing your limits to have babies and live anyway!.!.do not take another chance!.!.enjoy what you have, the children and live a happy and fulfilled life with them and your partner!.!. Well you certainly do not want to be put at risk if you get pregnant again and that happens!. The doctor knows what he is talking about, but it is totally your decision!. I had 2 c-sections and was advised that I should consider not having anymore kids due to this as well!. The kids that you have now need their Mom, so if anything at all think of the kids you have already!. He is just doing his job by explaining the risks to you!.

I did it after #6!. It was the only way to prevent a #7!. If it could cause harm to you then you may want to consider doing it!. You can't take care of your 5 children if you are dead!.
I had a c-section and then 5 years later had a vaginal birth!. I could have chose to have all c-sections, but I didn't like the recovery!. Your doctor may be right about your uterus not being able to take it!. I had to sign a bunch of consent forms to VBAC every time I did it because of the risk involved!. If you have been cut open that many times then you probably aren't even eligible for a VBAC!.
