Question: Can you tell your pediatrician!.!.!.!?
My doctor always raves how I am so skinny!. Im mainly only skinny for a few reasons 1!.) I eat well, I watch exactly what I eat, 2!.) I work out and 3!.) !.!.!.I was anorexic last year!. Do you think maybe if I let my doctor know during my annual physical that she would tell my mom!? Im not anorexic anymore but I just thought maybe she should know!? I really don't want my mom knowing!. And if I did tell her, what do you think she would say to me!?

This is pretty upsetting!. I hope you understand that sometimes being TOO skinny is a bad thing!. I assume if your mom is still taking you to a pediatrician, you're in your teens, so I'd like to say that you're way to young to be on all this dieting, carb counting, weight watching, stair stepping bull sh-i-t!. But no, you're doctor technically can NOT tell your mother, however, doctors aren't stupid, I wouldn't be surprised if she's trying to get it out of you!. If you need someone to talk to, tell her that, she needs to respect her boundaries!. If she feels your health isn't great & it still effects you, she may say something, for your own good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
YES you need to tell your doctor! being anorexic has some serious consequences both during and years later!. If you ever get seriously ill they need every detail of your health history so they can heal you best!. about the whole mom thing most likely she will empathize with your reasons behind being anorexic but maybe a little sad that you didn't feel you could trust her enough to tell her last year so she could help you through it!. no matter what your mom will always love and care for you!. if you really don't want your mom to know ( i would want mine to know) check your state laws on patient confidentiality but don't let the chance of a rift with you and your mom stop you from enabling yourself to the best medical careWww@Answer-Health@Com
