Question: Just got off the pill, not pregnant, but where's my period!?
Hi!
I've been on the pill for about 4 years but last month I went out of town and completely forgot my pack of birth control pills back home!. I realized that I had forgotten to take the first 2 pills of that month as well (so I had never started this month's pills)!. Since you aren't supposed to start the month if you have already missed 2 days anyways, I didn't take the pill at all that month!. For the month I used condoms with my fiance, but when it came time for me to get my period (Sunday), it didn't come!. There was a tiny spotting on Saturday, but hardly anything!. I had always been super regular when I was on the pill (almost to the hour!) so I became worried!. Yesterday (Tuesday), I took a pregnancy test just to be sure and it came out negative (phew!)!. But now I still haven't gotten my period! Tomorrow I am supposed to start the next month of the pill!.
Maybe all the years of taking hormones and then not taking them for a month has confused my body!?

It's really not unusual for the cycle to be disruppted when going off the pill!. The birth control pill is made up of hormones!. Hormones control the menstrual cycle!.
Since you've been off the BCP for a month or so, it'd be a good idea to consult with your physician as to how and when to get back on the pill!.
You probably need to have a blood pregnancy test before you restart anyway since usually, you restart after having a period!. Since that hasn't happened, consulting your doc would be a good idea!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
