Abnormal Pap Smear..Please Interpret...People that know what they are talking ab!

Question: Abnormal Pap Smear!.!.Please Interpret!.!.!.People that know what they are talking about ONLY Please :)!?
Okay, So I understand for the most part about my pap smear, however, it says that on the Epithelial Cell abnormality, that the diagnosis/Interpretation was: Low grade squamous intrepithelial lesion (LSIL)!. So my question is that where it says encompassing: HPV/MILD DYSPLASIA/CIN 1, does that mean that they think that i have the form of HPV that causes dysplasia!? I dont interpret that is the type that causes warts since it has the dysplasia on there too!? I am going back on October 13th to talk to a OBGYN, so please dont tell me to go to the doc, i know :) Im just trying to figure out if they think I have HPV like warts, or if its HPV from Pre Cancer cells!? Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Mild dysplasia, LSIL and CIN1 are terms that all pretty much describe the same thing!. It means that the Pap detected abnormal cells (caused by HPV) on your cervix, but only on the top layer of cells, which means it is a mild abnormality!.

These changes are caused by one or more of the strains of HPV responsible for cervical cancer, which are different from the strains of HPV that cause warts!. So, you do have HPV!. But try not to worry too much, a lot of women experience these "pre-cancerous" cervical cell changes, and very few of these cases actually progress to cancer!. You are doing the best thing by following up with your OBGYN for further evaluation!.

Hope that helped clear it up!. Feel free to ask me any more questions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
