The ones with plastic applicators *definitely* make things easier for girls who've never used tampons before!.!.!. but once you know how, anything that's comfortable to wear will be easy to insert!.

Helpful advice (beyond the semi-useless package directions)!? Yeah!.!.!. just three things:

1) Aim the tampon more towards your back than upwards!.!.!. your vagina actually goes *back* for more than half of its length, not just up!.!.!. and push it in gently (twisting it back and forth a bit might help it slide more easily) as far as the applicator will go while you're still holding the end of it!.

2) It'll be easier to do the first time if things are slippery "down there", so don't wipe away any blood and stuff until you've got the tampon in place!. If there's very little blood there, just smear a couple of drops of saliva on the tip of the tampon (or its applicator if it has one) and it'll make things a lot more comfortable!.

3) Relaxation is **important**!. If relaxing isn't easy for you, try pushing just a little bit as if you're trying to poop or pee!.!.!. your pelvic muscles will relax a bit and that will help a *lot*!.

There's an OK video instruction about it at http://www!.wonderhowto!.com/how-to/video/!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure you're aiming in the right direction for starters!. If it feels like you're pushing against skin, you probably are and not putting it in the right way!. If you're really dry you could try putting vaseline on it!. Also, try a mirror so you can find where you're hole is - this is valuable information in any event!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try tampax pearl lites, they are very slender with a plastic applicator, so should be easy to insert!. You should insert it aimed towards your lower back!.

Take your time, spread your legs apart and the folds of skin apart!.

It took me a long time to get my first in!. I've been wearing tampons for over 23 years (34 years old) and prefer them over pads!.

The first thing is to relax!! Make sure you have some time so you don't have to rush to get it in!. I have found, from my own experience as a teen, and later helping my own daughter that the instructions on the tampon box really are quite helpful!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask your physician to check and see if your hymen's opening is too narrow!. This will prevent tampon insertion, but allow menstrual flow to pass!.!.!.!.and it's fixable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
