Question: Whats a good birth control!?
I'm 25, married and have 2 children and a step child!. My husband and I are very clear that we don't want anymore children anytime soon but maybe one day!. I am on the pill but I have a hard time remembering to take it so after a pregnancy scare I want something more permanent but don't want to get my tubes tied!. I have thought about a 5 year IUD but still unsure about it!. My husband wants me to get it but what if we change our mind in 3 years and decde we want another child!? any suggestionsWww@Answer-Health@Com

The IUD you talking about is called MIRENA and I suggest you stay away from it!. I got it in last year and although it was nice to have hardly there periods I had all kinds of complications as so many women using it do!. I had back pain, upset tummy, sick for 6 months straight, tired all the time, boobs shrunk in size big time, aches and pains in hands and feet and the list goes on!. I thought that I was crazy until I did a google search and found approx 6000 women that had the same problems, some even have law suits pending on the company!. During the last few months before it decided to expell its self I had really bad pains and stabbing in my cervix then I all of a sudden felt like I could pass out and had the shakes really bad so went in and found out that it was comming out and they pulled it the rest of the way out!. I felt so much better only a fews days after removal and am so glad my body got rid of the thing!. My periods now are not the same as before, when I bleed I have clots and also it is bright red as if I cut myself open, I had never in my life been like this before the mirena was put in!. Please research it very very well before you decide you will get it!. You need to know the real side effects from real women using it, don't go by the paperwork becuase it really does lie!. Oh and I found out also that several women are getting pregnant with it in place and have no idea what short and long term effects their babies will suffer since there is no research for this!. All the best to you Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just got the Depo-shot, I love it! You only have to get it every 3 months!. I had my first shot and I don't have periods anymore!. I had a light pinkish spot for my first period after the shot, and that was it!. Your periods are supposed to slowly go away, but mine stopped!. I really hate needles, but this shot was not bad at all!. My doc said it was best because I couldn't remember to take a pill and I'm not wanting another child right now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had the Mirena for a little over a year and love it! I bled alot after getting it (and it wasnt painful) but hardly have periods now and they dont hurt like they did before getting it!. If you decide 3 years later that you want kids just have it removed and your ready to go!. I dont worry about getting pregnant!. It just goes to show every female may react different, it seems some hate it and some (like myself) love it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like a 5 year IUD may work well for you!. I would use some caution though!. I just had mine removed because I caught a severe staph infection from it being inserted!. If you're having any pain or discomfort at all, make sure you tell your doctor and if they tell you, "It's just a normal part of the IUD!." It's not!.

You'll have cramping for the first few hours, which is normal!. And of course, you'll bleed on and off for 6 months which isn't all that fun either!.

Hope this helped!
