Question: Weird symptoms using nuva ring!.!.!?
well problem is im using the nuva ring!.!.i've been on it since may 2008!.!.and i started skipping my periods on it in June!. (leaving it in for 4 weeks instead of 3 then putting in a new one immediately) now i already know some of you are gonna say you should just follow directions!.!. but the thing is!.!. my period is always really heavy and it stops me from caring for my children properly !.!. it stops me at school and working around the house!. i can't even bend over without blood spooting out of me and having to go change my pad!. but in july i had left the ring in for 5 weeks instead of 4 and my period caught up with me!.!. i had it from july 6-august 23!. but im bleeding now and have been for 10 days!.!. at first it was on and off but now its been steady for 5 days or so!.and i wasnt supposed to switch my ring until today!.!. whats wrong!.!? could my period have just come early anyways!? my boyfriend said not to put in a new ring until get to the doc!.!. but before i go i wanted a little advice!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your boyfriend is right!. Go to the doctor!. It is actually OK to use the nuva ring for 4 weeks and skip your period!. It is actually prescribed that way for some people who have a difficult time with their periods!. However, you should not be doing that unless under the advise of a doctor!. I am sure your problem arose from leaving it in for 5 weeks!. Not only causing your period problem, I am sure it isn't as effective for birth control if you use it wrong!. Anyway, go to the doc!. They can give you something to get the bleeding to stop now and then talk to them about why your periods are so bad!. There may be something better that can be done to help you out there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
