Too young to smoke, and on Birth Control.?!

Question: Too young to smoke, and on Birth Control!.!?
Well, I'm sixteen, and a good while ago, I fell into the terrible habit of smoking!. Yes, yes, I know that smoking at such a young age is a huge health risk, but please, save that lecture!. I am already quite aware of the consequences of smoking!.

However, I was recently prescribed Trinessa, a low dose of Birth Control!. I'll start this taking the pills Sunday, and I'm not sure I can cold-turkey the whole smoking thing!.

If I continue for a short amount of time (I will quit eventually), will I suffer the side effects that have been diagnosed (Stroke, blood clots, heart attack, ect)!? The warning seems to be targeted at women over the age of 35, who smoke close to 15 cigarettes a day!. (I'm only smoking one or two!.)

Please keep in mind that I am only 16, and have never suffered anything along the lines of, or have any family history of such occurrences!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I was 17 the sister of a friend of mine was on birth control and suffered a massive stroke!. She lost speech and had partial paralysis!. She was perfectly healthy and had never smoked before or during the time she was taking the pills!. Kids always think they're invincible and believe "It will never happen to me!.", but it absolutely can!. I'm not saying this will happen to you too, but just be aware that those health warnings regarding smoking are there for a reason!. Why take chances!. It will be much easier to quit now while you're young rather than 5-10 years from now!. I've also read that for every year you smoke it takes your body 3 years to clean all the tar out of your lungs!. I don't know if that is true, but do yourself a favour and quit now!. I bet even one year from now, looking back, you'll be glad you did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, the majority of women who have those problems are over thirty-five, but not all of them!. And just because you stop in the near future doesn't mean you're suddenly free from all of these problems!.
You smoke now, you have an increased chance to develop these conditions for the rest of your life!.
So, it's your choice!. You can go off the pill or off the cigarettes, but if you stick with both you may be regretting it later when you're in the hospital!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Haha alright!. Im 17!. I got on birth control a long while ago!. I also have been smoking since i was 14!.!.!.and not just one or two but half a pack to a pack a day!. I have NEVER been diagnosed with stuff like that!. So im not super worried!.!.!.!.so do what you need!. im just sharing my experience!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are trying to quit, don't try cold turkey!. Try to wean yourself off by using Nicorette, or a helpful pill!. Good for you for wanting to quit! You don't want to suffer from smoking any longer!. You can beat it, don't let it beat you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

One of these old days you are going to be 35 and will you still be smoking!? I hope not, because it gets harder to quit when you are smoking a pack or two a day instead of one or two cigarettes!.

But it is your choice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't matter you are only 16 and smoking one or two cigarettes a day!. You could still suffer the side effects you mentioned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

HI there

When it comes to health, the best approach is prevention!.
I hear that you don't want to have any lectures however, for the sake of your future and so that you can reach 35 years old, please work on other relaxation methods, sport etc and give up the smoking!.

A very close relative did not want to hear lectures and got into smoking at a little younger than you due to peer pressure!. This relative of mine died very young of a heart attack!. Please don't take the risk!. Your life is precious, value the gifts you were given and enjoy the fresh air!. Perhaps go for a walk on the beech or a run or swim and feel the air on your skin, feel it as it enters your nose and chest!. Remember, if you continue with the smoking, running will become difficult for you as will other forms of aerobic exercise!. These forms of exercise are very important in reducing risk of stroke, heart disease etc
