Cymbalta..anyone ever take this?!


Question: Cymbalta!.!.anyone ever take this!?
I started taking 30 mg of Cymbalta 2 weeks ago and it was raised to 60 mg last week!. I am now having trouble sleeping at night!. I am awake hourly, I toss and turn all night and my legs cramp up!. Does anyone know if this is due to the medicine!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Welcome to the wild, wacky world of psychiatric meds!. Cymbalta is actually one of the few psych meds that I have NOT tried for major depression!. However, when you look at the links below, you will see that it is quite likely that 60 mg of Cymbalta is related to your problems with sleep and leg cramps!. One in nine patients on Cymbalta has sleep problems!.
Make sure you have a good psychiatrist you can trust---instead of seeing a regular MD!. I have fired lots of shrinks until I found one I am comfortable with!.

One important thing you should know about psych meds is that they can affect people VERY differently!. I go to a support group for folks with depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, etc!. One person reports great success with a certain drug, while the next person with very similar symptoms has no success with the same drug!. Bad side effects will also vary from person to person on the same med!. Please remember this whenever you hear good or bad news about a drug!.

Check with your pharmacist, if nothing else has changed, it is highly possible!. See if you are in an adjustment period and if you can do something else to help you tolerate it!.!.!.or if these symptoms are likely to go away!. Most times, there is no need to SUFFER from use of a medication!.

I remember the commercials for this med seemed to indicate that it helped not only the emotional aspects of depression but also the physical pains!. SO having a more pronounced physiological reaction to it would make sense!.

You may find help with herbals like hot packs and lavender!.!.!.

Here's a little 2 minute project! In a bowl, mix 3 cups of cheap white rice kernels with bits of dried lavender or sprinkle with about 20 drops of your fav relaxing essential oil like lavender and ylang ylang or any relaxing scent for you!. Stir well and funnel into a clean cotton tube sock, then tie it shut!. This is now an aromatherapy pillow/pack that you can throw in the microwave (zap it for one minute) or freezer (just don't let it get too much moisture!.) Use in 20 minute increments on sore or tense places!.!.!.and inhale the soothing scent!.

I was on cymbalta for 2 years!.!. They tell you to try it at night first and if you get the same symptoms your getting then to take it in the morning!.
I found taken it in the morning was a lot better for me!.
