Girls question only - menstrual periods?!

Question: Girls question only - menstrual periods!?
I've started my periods about 3-4 days ago, and I feel fatigued and very unwell!. I've got a headache, very itchy skin, and I'm getting anxious for no reason!.

I really hate it when this keeps on happening, it makes me feel so ill, and I need to study for my GCSE's!
How can I relieve or help myself with these!?
I'm nearly 16, if this helps!.

Thanks so much!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started yesterday =[

I get really bad cramps and PMT too, it really sucks!.
I take Paracetomol for the pain, which helps a lot!.
Go for a walk or something - mild exercise really does help!

I had really bad periods when I was at school so I know how you feel - it's horrible!

I ended up having to miss 2 days a month from school because I was so ill and in the end, the doctor put me on the pill, which was a really big decision!.

I'd maybe try taking an oil of evening primrose capsule every day to help with the anxiety and go the docs to get some Ponstan!. It's a great pain reliever for periods!. It's maybe also worth taking an iron supplement too!.

Good luck!! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You feel tired because you're slightly anemic, you're lacking iron!.
Lean beef is the best source; our bodies absorb and store the iron from red meat more efficiently than they do from vegetables or any other source!. So try to eat about the equivalent amount of the size of a deck of cards in the week of your period (that's the recommended weekly amount)!. You can have it all at once, or a few thin slices each day!. Eat plenty of dark green vegetables, too, which are good for adding to your iron count!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

All part and parcel of periods I m afraid!. It's due to the hormonal changes that occur in your body at this time of the month!. To be honest, you'll learn to cope with it!. Just takes a bit of getting used to!. If it is really that bad, the pill may help, although this should be a last resort to be taken when your cycle is not fully established yet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure you get 8 hours sleep, it really does help!.

Do regular exercise, it helps ease cramps!.
You can take a paracetamol for pains, but try not relying on them!. Keep hydrated by drinking water throughout the day, aim to drink 8 glasses!.
