For women who have had an abortion....?!

Question: For women who have had an abortion!.!.!.!.!?
I'm just doing a little personal research!. I hate getting my information from biased pro-life or pro-choice groups and thought I would go straight to the source!.

1!. How old were you when you had and abortion
2!. How far along were you
3!. What type of counseling did you receive before hand, where did you get it from and do you feel you were adequately prepared to handle the procedure and the outcome from the counseling you received!?
4!. What type of emotions did you feel AFTER you got the abortion (i!.e!. relief, uncertainty, feeling unsure, regret, happy, sad, etc!.!.!.!.please be honest)
5!. What was your main reason for getting one (i!.e!. you were scared your family would find out, you were just scared and didn't know where to turn, boyfriend/husband or parents pressured you into having one, you knew you couldn't care for a child at that time in your life, you just didn't want a child, etc!.!.!.!.!.)
6!. Do you feel society should do a better job of explaining the facts about pregnancy and abortion to women, so they can make better decisions about what they do in the event of an unexpected pregnancy!?

Thank you for all your honest answers; I know this can be tough to talk about and it brings strong emotions into play, but I really appreciate it!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

3!. None!. "Counseling" was them explaining what was going to happen - and that I was allowed to change my mind anytime before the procedure was initiated!.

4!. At first nothing!. Then I slowly got kinda more & more depressed and couldn't sleep!. Within 3 months I was pretty much unpredictable as far as how I was going to react to lots of things!. I gained weight & pretty much became a shell of myself!. Then I became really full fledged depressed & regretted what I did!.

5!. Believe it or not - I seriously didn't know I was pregnant!. Maybe it was denial!. I had had some bleeding which I had mistook as a period!. About a month before I had the abortion was when I started to think that maybe, just maybe I could possibly be pregnant!.
In the months prior to knowing - I had done a lot of drinking and had not had the best diet for a growing baby!. I had pretty much a guarantee of having a baby with severe F!.A!.S!. Plus, at the time I wasn't in the best place in my life!.

6!. Yes!. I agree that they should!.

I'm not against abortion!. But I'm also not all gung-ho about it, you know!. I don't think I would ever do it again!. (That's just me, personally!.) But I'm understanding and nonjudgmental of the girls/women who do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
