Recovering Anorexic...!?!

Question: Recovering Anorexic!.!.!.!!?
Heres my story!.!.!.
I am 13 years old!. This recent summer I have been eating substantially smaller amounts and doing quite a lot of walking (no running at all, just walking about 2-3 miles a day along with a step machine)!. This is going to sound hard to believe but I never really had an intention to become so skinny and lose weight, it just happened whether it be with stress or something else!. But partly because I literally ate no fat for the past three months Up till around 2 weeks ago, I was still only eating 400-600 calories a day and walking about 3 miles along with more exercise from the step machine!.
I ate something like
1: 100 calorie yogurt no fat
2!. 100-150 calorie lunch
3!. 200 calorie dinner
My parents have obviously been worried and making efforts to change my habits, but after taking a physical appt!. last friday I was sent to the emergency room for having a pulse rate at 35!. I spent the weekend there up till monday and made me eat probably around 2000 calories a day (boost drinks if I couldn't finish meals and snacks)!. I have been home since monday (6 days so far) and am still constantly fighting the thoughts that come back!. I want to recover and have been eating more than I normally do however I still feel I am not eating enough for the basic calorie needs and have been struggling the thoughts of anorexia that keep coming back!. I used to be 115 pounds or so around the age of 12, and now am 5 ft 2 inches with a weight of about 75 pounds!. This whole week I have been doing absolutely no exercise however and sticking to that (literally just sitting around), but I feel I just need some supporting thoughts!. After hearing my story, what can you tell me!? Will this turn out to be helpful in the long run or have I damaged my metabolism so much!? My periods also stopped for the past 3 months!. Because I still dont feel I have eaten enough, what would you suggest a 13 year old eats in a day!? Or what do you eat throughout the day (name everything please)!. We have appointments with a nutritionist and health doctor every week to keep checking in on my pulse and weight gain!. Tomorrow, if my pulse rate is low however they are sending me to the ER!. :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should be eating at least 2000 calories a day!. I would say aim for around 2500!. The best thing to do is concentrate on foods like carbs, and meats!. Pasta and meatballs is a really good one!. Don't think of eating as a chore make it a social thing!. Go out to eat with friends more often and don't be afraid to pig out!. You have been starving your body of nutrients and energy that is why you have missed your periods!. When you starve your body like that it literally begins to break itself down for the nutrients!. Once you start eating right if you still don't have a period for a while you may want to ask your gynecologist for a hormone panel test!. If your hormones are off it is something that can be fixed!. First and foremost start eating and cut back on any rigorous exercise!. Your BMI puts your healthy weight between 86 and 126 pounds and being a recovering anorexic you should aim for the high end of the spectrum!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may have caused some permanent harm to your body, only your doctor is really qualified to say for sure!. But you will be much better off if you can beat this disease!. It's like smoking for 20 years, then quitting--sure, you might not reverse all the harm you've done, but you will be way better off!

You need to eat fat in order to absorb fat soluble vitamins!.

When I was 13 I ate pretty much whatever I wanted and never got fat!. Of course, I was a boy--teen boys' bodies are so busy laying down muscle and growing at that age, it seemed almost impossible to get fat, at least for me!.

Anyway, my suggestions for a typical day's diet for a 13 year old:

Breakfast--
a bowl of cereal, perhaps with some fruit in it!. I'd say get the low sugar cereal, like shredded wheat!. Or maybe oatmeal!. Drink milk, it's important for young girls to get enough calcium!.

Lunch--
a sandwich, or perhaps leftovers from yesterday's dinner!. Perhaps an apple or an orange on the side!.

Dinner--
Now's the time to hit the meat and vegetables you probably didn't get earlier in the day!. Maybe a chicken breast or a small steak, with a side of corn or peas!.

I think that would be a normal diet for a 13 year old girl!.

Oh, PS, take a women's one a day, too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am sorry!. On the site below I put in age 13, 5'2, and anywhere from 100lbs-115lbs requires you to eat about 2000 calories a day!. You are still a kid and need this

This might seem like a lot!. But if you are this unhealthy where you have to keep going to the ER, I don't know, maybe you do need the thousands a day they give you!. When you are a little healthier you shouldn't ever eat less than 1200 cals a day!.!.!.that is the lowest people are supposed to eat in order to LOSE weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have a friend that's an anorexic!.

What's worked for her is eating OFTEN - snacks in the middle of every major meal!.

You have to get into the habit of eating again, and this seems to work!.

And you should be seeing a shrink - anorexia is about control - it's obsessive control of your own body weight!. You need to find out WHY you feel the need to control your weight so dramatically because you can't solve the problem until you know what it is!.

She beat this - she's been normal weight for about 7 years now!.

You can too!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
