I'm a teenager!.
I've had problems with tampons my WHOLE life!. I know!.!.!.it sounds so stupid!. I know where it goes, tips and everything!.
But it never works, it just hurts and it never goes in far enough!.
I try and try!.
I'm so frustrated I even start crying because I know girls that have gotten the hang of it instantly!.!.!.it's so unfair!.
They're just like "You stick it up there!.!.!." Well, it's not as easy as it seems!.
I think its because I'm a virgin!.!.!.!.my body's so sensitive!.
Please help me!.

If it goes in at all but won't go in far enough (especially if that causes pain), then you're almost certainly aiming it the wrong direction, not relaxing your pelvic muscles, or both!.
The ones with plastic applicators *definitely* make things easier for girls who've never used tampons before!.!.!. but once you know how, anything that's comfortable to wear will be easy to insert!.
Helpful advice (beyond the semi-useless package directions)!? Yeah!.!.!. just three things:
1) Aim the tampon more towards your back than upwards!.!.!. your vagina actually goes *back* for more than half of its length, not just up!.!.!. and push it in gently (twisting it back and forth a bit might help it slide more easily) as far as the applicator will go while you're still holding the end of it!.
2) It'll be easier to do the first time if things are slippery "down there", so don't wipe away any blood and stuff until you've got the tampon in place!. If there's very little blood there, just smear a couple of drops of saliva on the tip of the tampon (or its applicator if it has one) and it'll make things a lot more comfortable!.
3) Relaxation is **important**!. If relaxing isn't easy for you, try pushing just a little bit as if you're trying to poop or pee!.!.!. your pelvic muscles will relax a bit and that will help a *lot*!.

It could be because your hymen is not broken yet!. I had trouble with them my whole life up until like 2 months ago and I'm still a virgin!.
Just keep trying with the smallest tampons with plastic applicators you can find!. It takes a ton of practice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was never able to use tampons until I lost my V-card :(!. I think my hymen was just too tough or something (btw, sorry if this is tmi, but it took several tries before I was able to lose my v-card! It just wouldn't go in!)!. If you are worried about it, talk to your doctor!. Have you had that dreaded first gyno visit yet!? That would be a good place to start!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
