Question: Any ladies under going or have had fertility treatment with IUI !? !?
I was on Clomiphene for 5 days starting from the 18th - the 22nd !. Today when my doctor did my vaginal ultra sound he saw 2 mature eggs!. Late tonight my hubby will give me the ovidrel shot which I'm so nervous about it because neither of us are trained to give needles & Wednesday my hubby is scheduled for sperm washing & afterwards I will get the Intra uterine insemination ( IUI ) !. What I want to know is if any of you have went through this procedure ( the IUI ) was it uncomfortable for you or painless !? I'm also suppose to take progesterone the day after the IUI, why do you have to take it vaginallyWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have been through three IUI's!. It is not painful at all!. It takes about a total of two minutes for the entire procedure!. I had to lay on the table for 15 minutes afterwards and then could resume regular day to day activities!.
As far as the progesterone!. I have to take it vaginaly as well!. The lining in your vagina mimics the lining in your stomach, so absorption will take place, however, taking it vaginally decreases the side effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
