Question: Do i still have a chance for a growth spurt!?
i'm 14 years old, and i'm only 5 ft 3 1/2 inches tall!. i want to grow up to be atleast 5 ft 6 or 7!. i never had a major growth spurt!. do you think it's too late for a girl to grow taller after age 14!?
i had my period for almost two years, maybe a year and a quarter!.!.!.!.if that helps!.

This is exactly what my daughter was told last Saturday by her doctor!. She was measured and she is 5'3", she's 15 and she started her period when she was 11!. The doctor said she is done growing!. She said girls end their growth a year after their first period!.

I doubt you will get some huge growth spurt but you can continue to grow throughout your teen years!. Girls are usually ahead of boys but you are only 14!. My son is 14 as well and if he stopped now he wouldn't reach 5 foot : ) His growth is slower but his bones were xrayed and found to be about 1 1/2 years younger than his biological age!. So he will be one of those boys that may still grow in college!. Look to your parents heights they can be an indicator but not a guarantee and give it a couple more years!. You may be able to get in another inch or two!. I think 5'6' or 7" is a stretch!.!.!.no pun intended : )Www@Answer-Health@Com
no!.!.!. girls can grow til they are like 18!. i didnt stop growing til i was 16 so dont worry about it!. even so, 5'3 1/2 isnt too short!. if your parents are taller than you then you probably still have some growing to doWww@Answer-Health@Com

i always grow and i am 14 too!. i am even taller than my mom!. i am 5!.7 feet now but last year i was 5!.5 feet!. dont worry u will grow, but everyone is different it depends!. ask ur doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com
