Before you go you should have a shower, it's not a medical necessity but it will make the experience a little less uncomfortable!.
The ultrasound technician will give you a gown to change into, once your dressed and ready you will come out and lie on the bed/table!.
The technician will use small long stick, they usually put a condom on it for hygiene and then they lubricate it for more comfortable access!.
They will then ask you to put your heels together and spread your knees apart!.
It's very important that you relax your muscles, especially your thighs and buttocks, if you tense up, it will make the procedure more uncomfortable!.
During the procedure, the technician will try to find your ovaries which will result in the stick being poked in strange angles!.
If it hurts or you are feeling uncomfortable, please tell the technician so they can be more gentle or stop if necessary!.
They will measure the size of different organs and look for any abnormalities!.
When the ultrasound is complete, they will give you some tissues or paper towel etc!. to clean yourself up and allow you some privacy to get dressed!.
The results will be determined by a radiographer and the results will be sent to your doctor!.

Don't worry about feeling nervous, it's normal, just remember to relax!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will probably change into a hospital gown for it!.

It should be really quick, like a couple of minutes!. The doctor or tech will insert an ultrasound wand partially into your vagina and may need to move it around a bit!. It can be uncomfortable, but the wand itself is very slim and the tech should use plenty of lube!. Just try to relax!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
