Usually drs do your smear even if you are on a period now as the period cells are not the ones they look at they wash your sample anyway and it is only cervix cells they read a tiny bit of blood comes off on the test stick even when you are NOT having a period so to tell the truth drs always expect to see some blood in every womans smear test sample jar, but it doesnt ruin the test result, as I said they only uptake cervix cells and stray blood cells are washed off in the lab!

So go today, as it is very important!.Take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on how heavy the spotting is!. If it's pretty light and you feel comfortable then go for it, otherwise just reschedule!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think the blood will mess up the smear test so wait until you are done spotting!. Check with your doc just in caseWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would call the nurse at your GP office and ask hon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

call your doctors office, explain it to them and ask them!. they will tell you whether to come or not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suggest you talk to your doctor!. He or she will be able to tell you what you need to do!. :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
