I got birth control, but now what?!
Question: I got birth control, but now what!?
My mom finally got me birth control and i want to go on it!. My periods are extremely irregular and i'm supposed to wait until the sunday of my next period, but I have no idea when that'll be!. I was wondering if it's really bad to just start taking it on a sunday, when I don't have my period!? Or if that will mess everything up!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it is not the rules that you must start it on the sunday after you get your period!.
you can also start the day you get your period!.
but these are just recommended times to start so then you can more easily track when you are supposed to take your pills incase you forget a day its supposed to make it easier to think did i take it yesterday and then you can count easier to check to see if you did miss a pill or not!.
but in reality you can start taking the pills any time any day when ever!. it doesn't have to be one of those 2 times i said above!.
just be sure you write down what date you started the package so then if you can't remember whether you took it or not you can count ht e pills and if they add up correctly to the day you started then you're fine and if they don't match up correctly then you know you missed a pill and can take it along with the pill for that day!.

when you start the placebo week (the last week of the package and usually a different color from the rest) a few days into that you will get your period!. my docotr said it is guaranteedd" you will get it before you start your next package but then she went on to say but if you don't get it just start the next package when you are supposed to!. you are supposed to continue taking one pill everyday no matter what!.

Don't just take it and expect everything to be fine!. Just give the doctor who examined you and prescribed the birth control a call with any questions you have, it's one of the reasons they are there for!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Nope, I have the exact same problem and started taking birth control 4 days ago, on a friday god knows how many days before my next stupid period :P haha, dnt worry, it'll be finee :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
