Well, if you don't tell her, I am sure that she will eventually notice!. She might already know and just hasn't said anything to you!. If you have a good relationship (and you should) you should be able to tell her and give her the reasons you felt the need to start shaving!. Now that you have started, she won't make you quit!.
Start by saying, "Mom, I have something to tell you and I hope you aren't mad at me!. I shaved my legs!. I was so embarrassed in gym at school and the other girls that shave were making fun of me!. I just couldn't stand it any more and I knew you didn't want me to so I just did it myself!. Please don't be mad at me!." She will probably be a little mad or pretend she is, but it will be okay!.

it is a normal part of life to shave, It means you are growing up,
Your mom should be supportive!. Just find a time, maybe off the top of my head, after your mom just recently got done in the bathroom!.
If you don't like that find a time you are both happy and doing something fun, or in a good conversation!.
Again there is no need to be ashamed!.

Oh when i started, i was so afraid to tell my mom!. i thought she wouldn't approve and that would make me feel bad about doing it!. when i did tell her she was ok with it and was expecting it!. she gave me tips and even started shaving herself!. I hope it works out that well for you, but whatever happens- she is your mom and you should always feel that you can talk to her and she will always love you no matter what!.

just tell her straight up, personally, i think shaving is part of good hygiene although some old-fashioned moms are against it!. i shave my legs although my mom told me not to!. i didn't tell her until she noticed and asked me, but she didn't get mad, i just told her that i do it as part of my hygiene!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you mean shaving your legs, I would ask her if she would be willing to help you find a good razor!. You might be surprised at how willing she is to help!. Most of the time if you include her, your mom will be so happy to be with you in "this important stage of your life" and won't mind so much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I was sort of embarrassed to admit this when I was younger too!. I don't really know why now though, it seems so petty!. Maybe you can try to let her notice on her own and then she'll ask about it!. well if you shave your legs, it should be pretty easy!. just tell your mom that you find it a little bit embarrassing to wear a skirt and have hairy legs!. Now, if it was your 'down there' then!.!.!.!.you can tell her that you think it's cleaner to shave!. Hair actually traps odor easily than no hair!.

I was the same way with my mom back in 5th grade when I started shaving!. Just be up front about it!. If that isnt an option than just "accidentally" leave your razor and/or shaving cream out in the bathroom and she will catch on!! :) No worries hun its normal, and naturalWww@Answer-Health@Com

tell her that you have been wanting to shave for quite some time & that you can't always use depilatory creams, such as nair or veet, because it's time-consuming!. just be honest & up-front!. all women have bodily hair that we want to get rid of!. she'll understand!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just bring up a like subject, then tell her!. Parents respond better to up-front mature ways of telling information, a lot better than a song and dance around the subject!. They are impatient with long stories!. Be very honest and say it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
