Ladies... do you use Nuva rings as a birth control method?!
Question: Ladies!.!.!. do you use Nuva rings as a birth control method!?
Is there any women that is or has used Nuva Rings!. If so, I just wanna know what's your opinion on them!. As far as I know I was told you wear them and take them out when your period starts!. I'm trying to look at some other options in case I decide to get off the pill!. I refuse to take the depo shots, I've heard bad things about them like they make you gain weight and cause your hair to shed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do not take the depo shot!! It messed me up big time! And I'm still not convinced the whole "no period" thing is that good!.!.!.!.
I used the nuva ring in the past, (I'm breast feeding now and didn't want hormones so I'm using something different!.!.!.) and I liked it!.
You don't take the ring out when your period starts though, you actually leave it out and the lack of hormones causes your period to come!. So basically you leave in the ring for 3 weeks, leave it out 1 week and put a new one in begining week 4 for another 3 weeks!.
The only thing that was weird for me was it was kinda weird during sex!. You can take it out but you have to remember to put it back in after you rinse it off or you wont be protected!. I think you have to put it back within 30 or 60 mins!. There were a few times where it took us a second to find it again so that was sort of stressful!.!.!.
I'm on Paraguard now which is a non hormonal alternative and so far so good! I've only had it for a couple of weeks though!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I haven't tried the Nuva rings!.!.!.but I believe that you use one a week for 3 weeks and then off for one!. Very similar to the pill!. I have a Mirena IUD as an endometriosis treatment for the past 8 months!. It was not fun getting it in but in all fairness my endo doc said that mine was the most difficult he's ever put in and he's done hundreds!. The benefits are that the hormones go directly into your uterus as opposed to your bloodstream and many women don't get their periods at all after a while!. I am still getting them but they are much lighter although last longer!. And the Mirena lasts for 5 years so you get it and forget about it for awhile and it is as effective as another hormonal birth control!. You can also get it removed whenever so you don't have to keep it for 5 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I'm on it right now, and honestly it's great!.!.!. I used to use the pills, but I was horrible at remembering to take them at the same time!.!.!. with the ring, it is so easy!. U put it in for 3 weeks, take it out for a week!. It's so much easier!.!.!. I've been using it for like 4 months already, and haven't had any side effects from it!. The only thing, in the beginning, it feels kinda strange having sex with it in, but the feeling goes away, or you can also safely take it out for up to 3 hours, and still be protected!. The shots are a bad idea!. the ring is pretty good, but finding guys that are 'ring worthy" is a task!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
