Your not abnormal!. It took me a while to get used to them as well and like you they used to make me feel uncomfortable and sore! I forgot about trying to use them for a while but then the urge to be able to swim overtook the fear and I tried them again!. Pads are a pain and once I got used to the tampons I never looked back!. Just a little hint - when you insert them, use a bit of vaseline to start with and push them at an angle towards your bottom - they dont go straight up!
Keep persisting and you will get it right eventually!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes they will be uncomfortable if you are having a very light period or if you are keeping them in for too long!. Also make sure you are using the lightest ones not the ones for a heavy flow!. If you are using the wrong absorbency it will make a big difference!. Have you tried the small playtex ones!? I always found the cardboard tampax to be uncomfortable!. Try a few out they are not all the same!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You must have inserted them slightly wrong because they do not hurt if they are in properly!. Also the applicator can scratch so that may cause this discomfort!. You absolutely cannot feel a tampon when it is in properly so it therefore does not hurt!. Maybe you have been trying when you are all dry!.

Women and girls who are experienced with tampons will all tell you that you cannot feel them when they are in place!. That is why we are all giving hints on easier insertion etc,!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is probably because you may be putting them in wrong, or you are using some that are too large, or they're not in far enough!. Use the smallest ones at first, NOT CARDBOARD APPLICATORS, they really hurt me!. Use plastic ones, make sure you get them all the way in, if not it will be really uncomfortable!. Use them only when your period is heaviest, they should be perfectly comfortable!. Try this!. I used to not use them, only pads, but when I started using tampons correctly, I couldn't stand pads anymore, they were the most uncomfortable thing ever compared to the tampons!. Try 'em again, and make sure you follow those tips, it should help!.
Good luck :o)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was soooo scared when I first started using tampons, but they are sooo much more comfortable than pads!. I cried the first time i tried to insert a tampon!. They shouldn't hurt though, but it'll feel weird at first because you're not use to them!. Use the smallest first even if you have a heavy period!. You need to just get comfortable using them first!. I use tampax pearl regular!. I like them a lot!. Really, tampons are nothing to be scared of!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ive had a very unconfertable experience with a tampon when I first got my period!. I slept with it overnight (young and stupid), and it must of been completely obsorbed and was so hard to get out in the morning!. I cryed and freaked out but got it out!.Anyway, theres a couple reasons why it may hurt, make sure you real ALL the directions on how to use them, try a good brand like tampex pearl, or playtex, I wouldnt use cardboard applicaters!. You also may have a light period where you dont bleed too much or too heavily, you should start with the SMALLEST tampons!. and also read more about how long to leave them in, you dont want to leave them in too long, but also dont want to take them out to soon, because if the tampon hasnt obsorbed enough, it could be too dry and hard to pull out, hence a little painful!. Miss
i worked in the OR for 9 years as an OR tech and i think i have heard every story there is!.

being a dude, i don't know about these things apart from what i hear in the surgery when the women techs or nurses talk about them in GYN cases!.

but your dislike is not un-natural or abnormal!. some women just don't like them and that is that!.

if you find the pad are not working for a specific time (as you note swimming) then bite the bullet and use one!. they make all kinds of different types and i would suggest you talk to another woman or a dozen and find what might work best for you!.

if loser jerks are answering rudely ignor or block them,

I hope you find a solution to your problem, but do not let someone else dictate what you will do,Www@Answer-Health@Com

no you just arent comfortable with them yet, they take some getting used to and once you are used to them you can almost forget they are even there!. just keep trying a little bit and make sure they are all the way in there is nothing wrong with you, you are just still getting used to this and have alot of maturing and growing to doWww@Answer-Health@Com

maybe you are using the wrong size or are putting them in wrong!. try using the pearl kind!. first relax and either sit on the toilet or stand up !. bend your knees just a little bit you can get some k y jelly if you need it!. make sure the tampon applicator is all the way inside before you push the plunger !.if they aren't inserted right they can hurt or pinch especially when you sit down!. i hope this helps you Www@Answer-Health@Com

hmm if you dont insert it the way it should be, you will feel like its coming out, but believe me when u do it the right way its very comfortable, but also its just not for everyone, my mom hates them, she says she is very uncomfortable with tampons, also if u are virgin obviously it will hurtWww@Answer-Health@Com

well, most likely dear, you inserted it wrong!.

or maybe, as i believe for alot of girls its mind over matter

then worry it will hurt, and thus to them, they believe it hurts!.

so just read the instructions carefully,
and make sure youre inserting it correctly

I have the same issue with them!. I don't think that they should be used because they can cause Toxic Shock Syndrome or whatever it was called!. Pads are the best way to go and it's simple for people not to swim!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Use some k y jelly and use the smallest tampons you can find, also don't use the cardboard ones, they hurt, use the plastic plyatex!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nothing is wrong with you at all!.

Pads are just the better choice because if you use the huge ones they never leak and theres no worries of it getting stuck or causing that toxic shock stuff!.lol!.
