From the way your describing it, it sounds like a yeast infection, but hard to tell!. If your very itchy, you probably have a yeast infection, In that case, just go to a drugstore and buy a yeast-infection treatment kit (easy to find and take) And it should clear up within 3-5 days!. The reason you may have gotten one, is either from somebody you've had intercourse with, your diet, or from taking antibiotics!.

If it turns out you don't have a yeast-infection:

Abnormal discharge
Normal discharge doesn't smell, and does not cause any irritation or itching!. A discharge is likely to be abnormal if:

* it smells fishy
* it's thick and white, like cottage cheese
* it's greenish and smells foul
* there's blood in it (except when you have a period)
* it's itchy
* you have any genital sores or ulcers
* you have abdominal pain or pain on intercourse
* it started soon after you had unprotected sex with someone you suspect could have a sexually transmitted disease!.

Possible causes

* bacterial vaginosis
* thrush
* forgotten tampons
* gonorrhoea
* trichomoniasis Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you can have rashes and infections without being sexually active!. It sounds like what you have is a yeast infection!.

Is the discharge whitish, maybe thick!?

You can go to the drug store and get Monistat!. There are different ones you can get!. You can ask a pharmacist for advice if you need to!. I recommend a 3 or 7 day treatment!. The one day just doesn't do enough for me!. The 3 day is usually enough for me, but if it gets really bad I need the 7day treatment!.

Get a pack that has the ovules to treat the inside and the cream to treat the outside!. There is also a pack I found that included little soothing wipes to clean and sooth the irritation!. Those were really nice!. You need both the cream and the ovules because if you don't treat both you may not solve the problem and it could come right back!.

Here is the web site for Monistat with info about yeast infections!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Never ever, ever put vaseline in or around your vagina, it's a good medium for bacteria to grow!.

Your having symptoms of both urinary tract infection and a yeast infection- call your doctor!. Until then, go to the drug store and ask a pharmacist what you can take to relieve the urinary pain and vaginal itching!. Don't be embarrassed- all women have these problems during the course of their lives (men have their share as well)!.

Take care~

ok, wehn you shower, wash that area!.
and to stop the itching try vaseline, not the lotion, the salve, or some antifungal creme, it really helps, im about your age, and it really helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

First, read about different kinds of vaginal discharge and try to understand the reason (see below)Www@Answer-Health@Com

No except in the case of thrush!. A first case needs a Dr to diagnose and treat, esp in a young girl!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
