I'm freaking out about my gyno exam?!
Question: I'm freaking out about my gyno exam!?
i know that i shouldn't be so freaked cuz i've already been thru this once!. but in the morning i'm getting a pelvic exam and i'm feel like i'm gonna puke cuz i just don't want to do it!.
is it normal to be freaked even though last time which was my first time i was just fine!?
i know it only lasts like 1 minute for the breast exam and like 3 for the downstairs exam but its just scaring me!.
do you still freak out when you have to get it done!?

Well, guess what!? I have had 5 kids and am post menopausal!.!.!.that means I passed menopause, and I need a Pap test, and I keep putting it off, because I don't want to do it!. So you are VERY normal!. None of us like someone w/a spotlight poking around in there!. NO ONE!

I used to feel this way until I started seeing a woman doctor!. I feel more comfortable!. Ask women you know if they may know of a good woman doctor, or ask a medical professional for a referral!. Trust me, you will feel more comfortable as well!. Maybe cancel, and then make the appt with the woman doctor!? And just relax!. Being examined in this way is a part of life!. You need to do this to make sure you are healthy!. Female health issues are imporant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I freak out everytime I have them!. I usually go the way of the tranquilizer, but people say when you have enough of them you become desensitized!. Just communicate with your doc and I'm sure she'll do what she can to make it as comfortable as possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry! It's normal to be nervous, and with the way you're freaking out you'll be so exhausted tomorrow you'll just be happy you're horizontal!. ;D
ETA: Have you always felt that way about nudity!? I'm not sure I can help there!.!.!. I'd be naked all the time if I could!. I actually get a little enjoyment out of exams because I think my bits and pieces are pretty adorable and I get to show them to someone who probably sees unhappy bits and pieces several times in a normal day!.
