Question: Women on the pill please help!!?
I recently just started the pill (2 weeks ago)
I started a week after my period ended!. It said start in the red section when your on your period!. So I started just after the red section on the tuesday!.
What are the little white pills and are they different to the others!?
What do they do!.
If I want to stop my period do I have to skip those!?
I am new to the pill and I dont really understand how it works!.
Any info from you would be great!!!

You pack has 28 pills!? If so, it comes with 21 active pills and 7 inactive pills!.
I'm guessing the 21 pills are in the red section, and the 7 pills are the little withe pills!? If so, you started on tuesday and you will take the 21 pills in the red section, one every day!.
After that you will start with the 7 little white pills!. While you are taking these 7 little white pills your period will come!.
When you are done with the 7 little white pills you will buy and start a new pack (the day you start should be a tuesday also, remember 28 pills so 28 days!?)!. It doesn't matter if you still have your period by the day you take the 7th little white pill, you start a new pack anyway and start the process all over again!.
NEVER stop taking any pills, and remember to take them every day at the same time!

Your pill basically has 21 pills which contain hormones - the hormones make your body think that it has ovulated already, so it doesn't release an egg - if there is no egg to fertilise you can't get pregnant!.
The white pills at the end of the packet are placebos - they don't contain any hormones and are usually just sugar!. They are there to keep you in the habit of taking a pill each day!. When you take the sugar pills the level of hormones in your body drops!. This drop triggers bleeding!. (You'll also get bleeding if you miss a pill - for the same reason)!. There isn't actually any medical reason to have a bleed each month when you are on the pill - which is why it's safe to skip the bleed by starting a new pack of active pills instead of taking the placebos!. If you are wanting to skip periods regularly, you should talk to your doctor as you can probably have a lower dose pill!.
