Is it normal to throw up every time you get your period?!

Question: Is it normal to throw up every time you get your period!?
Every month I when I get my period I throw up!. I can't take meds because they will just come back up!. I can't eat anything so all I throw up is yellow bile!. Sometimes it goes on all day & other times it goes on for a few hours but no doubt it happens every month :( Is there anything I could do to stop this!? I get dehydrated, the chills (shakes), fever & cramps that are unbearable!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm so glad I'm reading this from someone else!. You've just perfectly described what i go through every month!. You didn't mention the severe pain along with the nausea, but it sounds exactly the same!. I just spent 12 hours in severe pain and throwing up bile, unable to take even the smallest sip of water!. I think our condition is called Dysmennorrhoea!.
check into it!. I was taking naproxen sodium, but that doesn't work if i get one down too late!. I think it's about timing!.
Other things i'm going to try: homeopathic magnesium sulphate sugar tablets (for the cramps when you can't get anything down) to stick under the tongue and dissolve!. Severe cramping can be a magnesium deficiency!. I've had this problem all my life, started early at age 11, and have always had a hormonal imbalance!. So I hear that if you have too much estrogen and not enough progesterone your cramps will be nasty!. I've never been on the pill, but will now be trying to find one that balances out my hormones!. I hear others have used progesterone cream!. But i don't wanna start messing around with hormones on my own!.
Anyway, thanks for letting me know I'm not alone!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

At first I thought it was what I had a few years back (My cramps were so bad, I was sick and had to go home :( )
But your description actually sounds a whole lot worse, so I'd recommend seeing a doctor about it!.
As far as I know, it's quite normal to vomit during menstruation due to the muscles constricting etc but not to your extent!.

See your doctor!. If you can't see them before your next period, try taking an ibuprofen everyday during the week before, as this is meant to help with severe cramps and may relieve some of your symptoms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Omg you're exactly like me, I barelly throw up but I get sooooo nautious on first day or 2!. Sometimes I even passed out!. It's ccuz we have low blood sugar, so take sudafed(it workssss !) , and eat lots of things that are salty, gatorade, pretzels, or sugary like chocolate!. Try elavating your legs up for leg cramps (put your legs up on a 1 or 2 pillows while sitting) it helps the blood flow!.

Isn't being a girl just great!? All jokes aside, I suggest you first see your Gynecologist!. Make sure there are no underlying problems before you start any new medications or diets!. Now then, I do NOT agree with the previous poster regarding eating chocolate and sugary items or Sudafed!. Nothing is worse for nausea and vomiting than chocolate or hard to digest foods, and Sudafed is a stimulant (Ephedrine)!. If you don't have diarrhea, you should ask your doctor about a Phenergan suppository!. This is a prescription medication that works amazingly well in calming the stomach, as well as helping with dry heaves!. Stick to the BRAT Diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast!. This is used by Pediatricians for children with stomach ailments!.!.!.!.works great for adults too!. Ginger Ale is best for nausea (esp!. with a piece of real ginger in it) Please see your doctor !.!.!.I hope you feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I did the same thing for almost two years!.!.!. I would even get car sick! So, no car rides for me!.!. And no going to school on my period either!.!.!. That's how bad it was!.!.!.
But, let me tell you!.!.!. Seriously talk to your mom/gaurdian if you are young about getting you some birth control!. These completely helped me!. Not only that, they will help with cramps, bloating, and regulation!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow! That tops any PMS story I have ever heard!. Go see your doctor!. He/She may suggest putting you on the pill to level out your hormones and stop this craziness!. It's got to be close to impossible to be productive during your period and nobody should have to live like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
