I know that birth control needs to be taken at the same time but ?!

Question: I know that birth control needs to be taken at the same time but !?
I work 11pm-7am and sometimes I forget to take it at the same time but I remember it a few hours later and I'm off on the weekend and I take it when I'm not sleeping during the day!. So basically I take it at night or early morning on the week days and during the day or before bed on the weekends!. Will this mess anything up!? I know its confusingWww@Answer-Health@Com

Why not take it on your drive in to work!? I set my phone alarm to go off at the same time every day!. Ive been on the pill for 6 years, and still do this as a friendly reminder!. I was told you need to take it within the same 2 hour time span every day!. Also if you skip it once during the month and double up the next day, you are not protected!. Try to get on a regular schedule so you can actually put the pill to good use!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not really I dont think, ive never taken the pill at the exact same time during each day, and never had a problem, I think doctors just tell you that to be sure so youre more likely not to forget to take it!. You know, the whole better safe than sorry thing, but you should be fine, just as long as you remember to take it everyday, doesnt really matter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It definitely could cause it to become less effective!. If you are using it strictly for birth control, you should use a back-up method!. If you are using it to control symptoms of heavy/painful periods, it could cause break-through bleeding!. I also work nights so I find that if I take it at around 8 pm (I am awake at that time whether I am working or not) then it is most effective!.

The directions say to take the pill the same time everyday for a reason!.Try to just make it part of your morning routine!.Take it with breakfast!.Unless you want to get pregnant, keep messing up with the pill and eventually you'll get it right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It won't be as effective!. Just set an alarm to take it!. I take it at 7:30 as soon as I wake up!.
I would say take it when you get back from work!.

Taking it at random times won't get you into the routine of taking it everyday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try using a contraceptive that you don't have to take every day!. Depo-provera is a shot that you only need to get every three months!. I don't know about others!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
