Question: What happens when the doctor cant find a cervix!?
my freind had a pap smeer today and the doctor couldnt find her cervix does any one know how this could happen the doctor was in a hurry and she didnt have time to ask any questions

This sounds very weird!. The doctor should not have any trouble locating the cervix because if he/she used a speculum it should be clearly visible!. and the doctor didn't have time to answer any questions!? Because if a doctor couldn't locate a cervix that should be cause for alarm and he/she should've explained the situation!.

Probably means that the doctor pushed the cervix out of view when he opened the speculum blades, and if the doctor was in a hurry, probably didn't bother to put speculum properly!.
If the doctor still managed to get a pap smear, that means he managed to scrape the cervix anyhow!.
Either that, or the doctor is inexperienced, and pretended tot be in a hurry to cover for ineptness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lol you sure the doctor was qualified !? You can even see your cervix yourself if you get one of those silver instruments that the docs use when you have an internal exam or a smear!. Its called a speculum and you can get them on ebay, if you use it you can hold a mirror to see inside yourself and you will clearly see your cervix!.

It is there but hides 'around a corner' if you get me, I assume the Dr still managed it, the cervix would have been harder to get into view but it is there and hasnt moved, as it is angled behind the vagina and often my Dr says that to me as well , 'oh its trying to hide', like a sort of joke when you get a smear test, it is still accessible though through gentle prodding by an expert!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
A doctor who can't find a cervix and id=s in too much of a rush to answer your questions!.!.!.Find a new doctor!. Also try to locate your cervix yourself!. It takes just 1 finger!. Insert your finger as far as you are able!. What you are feeling should be your cervix!. It kind of feels like the end of your nose!. If she is really worried, ask for an ultrasound!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
