Question: Question about the shot!.!. depo-provera, birth control!.!?
If someone goes on the shot, it last three months right!?
Well I heard people have their periods for a long time after they stop!.
Would it be okay to wait 2 weeks after the 3 months is over, to possibly have the period as long as I don't have sex during that period of time and a week before the shot wears off!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your question is a bit confusing!. Yes, you get the shot every 3 months and it lasts and works as a contraceptive just as long as you get your shot every 11-13 weeks!. Some people have their period and some people's period stops!. And some people just experience spotting!. And since Depo is a long term birth control method it may take a few months after you stop using it for you to concieve!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can have bleeding while you're on the shot too!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

After you stop the shot you should wait 6 - 8 months before trying to conceive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
