Answers:
Not all estrogen is bad; however, some foods have it, or some of its forms!. North American beef has elevated levels of estrogen because the manufacturers give synthetic estrogen to cows!. If you eat a lot of beef you ingest it and it can wreck havoc in your body!. Other foods will have what is called, phyto-estrogens!. Those are naturally occurring chemical compounds, which are not estrogens but they have a chemical structure of estrogens and, as a result, can attach themselves to the estrogen receptors in your body!. Some studies say that they may be harmful for us, but others say that they act as very weak estrogens blocking the receptors from stronger, negative estrogens from taking hold and doing much damage to your organs!. I agree with the later opinion!. Those foods are soy, tofu, miso, tempeh!. If you look at the incidence of breast cancer, many occurrences of which are caused by elevated estrogen levels, in Asia versus North America, the statistics are staggering!. Asia has extremely low number of cases, whereas we have lots!. I believe that synthetic estrogens (in food, birth control pills, HRT), xeno-estrogens (synthetic chemicals that look like estrogens but irritate the receptors, i!.e!. plastics in plastic bags, etc) are contributing to our problems with estrogen imbalance!. Phyto-estrogens are good in my opinion and help with hormonal balance!. Look up and read a couple of great books by Dr Christianne Northrup and Dr John Gray!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You want to be careful of soy products!. The main thing is to keep yourself at an optimum weight - your fat produces estrogen, as does your endocrine system!. I would be suspect of milk when hormones of any kind are used to up production!. All things in moderation, though!.
Natural hormones and artificial ones cannot be distinguised when it comes to the estrogen receptors in your system - so anybody that tells you different doesn't understand how the receptors work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
