Why do people say you can get pregnant any time? ?!

Question: Why do people say you can get pregnant any time!? !?
I don't think I'm pregnant so I'm not asking that!. I'm just wondering that if you're supposed to get pregnant during ovulation which is around 14 days after the period, why do some people say you can get pregnant any time of the month!? Say you have sex on the first day after the period, how can you get pregnant then!? I know sperm can last a few days, but I don't see how you can ovulate that early, as if you did, then how can you ovulate and there still be three more weeks until your period if you don't have sex!?

I hope that makes sense!?

I was just reading online about the cycle, where hormones build up so the womb lining gets thicker and once the egg doesn't fertilise the hormones change so she has the period, so I don't see how all that can speed up so a woman can get pregnant any time in the cycle!.

I know people can ovulate early, but if they have a regular cycle, I don't see how that happens!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Oh yes, I know what you mean!.

Here's how it works:

The time of ovulation within the menstrual cycle is determined by the luteal phase, which is usually 12 to 16 days long in most women!. This is the time of the month when you are most likely to get pregnant!.
BUT the exact time of ovulation may vary within your cycle even if you have religiously regular menstrual cycles!.

Sperm can survive in the body for up to seven days after you have sex!. If you ovulate early, there will be less time between the end of your period and the time when you are most fertile again!.

So yes, although it is not very likely, you can conceive at any time during your menstrual cycle, even during, or just after, your period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can get pregnant any time of the month, its just more/less likely a certain times!.
