Should I be horrified by stories about Mirena ?!

Question: Should I be horrified by stories about Mirena !?
I am about to get the IUD Mirena for contraception!. I've looked it up over the internet and I've seen hundreds of women citing the Mirena in everything from hair loss to weight gain and even breast cancer!. Some of these anecdotes, especially the "migration" of the IUD outside of the uterus seem very real (although rare)!.

Should I believe the horror stories and avoid this IUD!? What are your experiences with it!? I get mine in under ten days!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
How many of these anecdotal stories have been authenticated!? I mean weight gain, hair loss and breast cancer are common enough that it's easy to suggest they had independent causes!. I think the migration question could be answered with scientific research!. It is quite possible that they were not implanted correctly, or that the women involved had something wrong with them!.

The person to ask is the doctor performing the procedure!. And specifically ask him or her to tell you what statistics they have of the particular IUD compared to other IUDs, and to other methods of contraception!. Remember that pregnancy also has its risks: physical, emotional, economic and social!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Back in 2002 I had my 1st Mirena inserted and LOVED IT the only side effect I had was no period!. Once it expired in 2007 I had a new one inserted and had it fro 10 months until I decided to have it removed!. In those 10 months I had back pain, sever nausea, foggy mind and gained 20 pounds with no diet or exercise change and sever acne!. I had it removed and the back pain was relieved almost instantly by the time I got to my car I no longer had it!. The acne cleared up by the 2nd month of removal and the nausea also stopped that day I had it removed!. It has been 4 months since I had it removed and have lost 10 pounds with again no diet or exercise change!. I am in the process of writing to Mirena to see if something was changed in it from 2002 to 2007Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, don't be horrified!. All those symptoms appear to be allergenic or autoimmune in nature!. If you start having any of them have it removed, My guess is you will be fine if you have no history of allergic reactions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
