Question: Cilest pill and heavy periods!?
I had a baby 4 months ago, i started my period 3 weeks ago and started taking the cilest pill!. I have bled all the way through the pill, im now on my seven day break and its became really heavy, theres not much pain just heavy bleeding!. ive never had heavy periods before, do you think this is the pill or because of my pregnancy!. This is my second child and never happened after my first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Irregular and sometimes erratic bleeding is common within the first few months of taking Cilest (or really any combined pill for that matter) This should, in most cases, settle down after awhile!. If not, and this continues after the second/thrid month, see your GP, as prolonged bleeding can marginally increase your risk of iron deficiency anaemia!. If the bleeding persists and does not settle down, it may be this pill isn't for you and your Dr will prescribe you with another one!. What you have described above, is however fairly common at first!. Don't worry too much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Celest is a good oral contraceptive pill, like all of them it can have an effect on menstrual bleeding!. Every pill doesn't suit everybody and if you are worried and bleed excessively speak to your doctor, he will reassure you ar prescribe a different one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
