Question: Headache with orgasm!?
Just recently, I have got a huge, pounding headache right around the time I orgasm!. Any medical explaination!? Should I take something or see a doctor!? This has never happened before and not too big of a deal, it's just hard to focus!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's actually quite normal and common hon, it's due to the raise in your blood pressure when you orgasm!. It's rare that it is serious although one of the websites I list does talk about a possible serious cause!.

The explanation is simple: orgasm involves a rise in heart rate and blood pressure, and once in a while (in some people, at least) that puts enough pressure on the brain's or the skull's pain sensitive blood vessels or their nearby tissues to make them complain about it!.
It's not a problem you should ever worry about unless you already have very high blood pressure (or other major stroke-risks) to begin with!.

acutually i have a great explanation my ex husband used to have this happen to him and so he went to the doc and the doc told him its due to the way he breaths he is exerting himself but at the same time not really breathing which cause the veins to swell therefore leading to a headache it has nothing to do with the orgasm itself!. next time you are doing the funky cold medina just try to regulate your breathing and keep breathing and have funWww@Answer-Health@Com
sometimes that happens to me as well!. it all depends on how good the orgasm was!. its just the blood flowing in all kinds of directions all over the body!. nothing to really worry about!. Any neurologist who specializes in headaches will be familiar with the phenomena of "orgasmic headache" and can advise you on prophylactic (preventative) treatment!. I'm not sure of the mechanism that causes the headache, I just know that there are treatments!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Orgasms can cause a raise in blood pressure so it might just be that!. So you might want to get your blood pressure checked out if anything too make sure it's not too high to start with!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
