Question: I feel like I'm having a nervous break down can I sign myself into a hospital!?
Answers:
You can, but this should be a last resort - only if you really are suicidal!. It will have an impact on your life a long time from now!. Do your best to get out-patient help first!. See your Dr, ask for counseling, ask if there is an out-patient psychiatric clinic so that you can get appropriate medication!.

I was treated as an in-patient and now can't get life assurance or medical insurance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, I actually had to do that once!. I was deeply depressed last year in college and I talk to my advisor and then went to my doctor's office and his wife kindly helped me figure out how to check myself in!. As sometimes there is a limited number of beds, tell them you are suicidal, it helps the process

Take yourself to the ER or have a friend and tell them you need to be admitted due to psychiatric problems and the admitting people will have a nurse or admitting clerk come evaluate you!. Like I said, to make it go faster, tell them you are suicidal!. I was only a little bit, but I really emphasized it and got in quick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you live in the south east of England no!. If you go to a n e they'll tell you to see your gp!. He/she will then give you medication that wont work for two years, then if your lucky you'll be referred to a physchiarist and thats another six months waiting!. Once you get there you'll see someone whos answer lies in more pills, OR wont even understand english!.
All that was after I'd treatened to kill myself, and even my best friend told my gp I was trying to kill myself!. So no you can't sign yourself in anywhere

I had 8 years of that until I finally gave up and fought my mental problems on my own!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the nearest emergency room and they should be able to refer you to an appropriate in patient facility!. Be aware that these days the criteria for in patient psych!. hospitalization is if you are at risk to harm yourself (suicidal thoughts, possibly with plan) or others!. Another option is to contact your Community Mental Health Dept!. Good Luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course you can!. Just look them up online and give them a call!. They can direct you to a hospital that has room for you!. Or they can just keep you overnight for observation!. You just need to give someone a call!. I know it is difficult to make the first call!. It's not so bad though!. I've called counselor's and had to tell them my problems on the phone!. I felt better after!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
