umm, i can't believe i am even asking this, but my ,last period was August 22nd , and i hadn't gotten it so i am going to the doctor Wed!.b/c i wanted a check up!. Now! guess what i got my period today(finally) however, i still want to see the doctor Wed!. b/c i do need a check up but my question is i can't see her b/c i am on my period right!? i was always told you have to wait until you are done then go, is that correct, b/c if i have to wait another week i am going to go crazy!!! Plz no stupid answers, i want mature people!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only reason why you would even consider waiting is if you are going to get a Pap smear!. Doctors will still perform a Pap smear if you're on your period, though!. The only reason why it's not the best idea is sometimes it can make your Pap smear results look abnormal and they'll probably just have to do it again!. If you're not going to get your Pap smear done, then there's no reason to wait!. Are you getting a Pap smear done!? Is that what you mean by getting a check up!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are going to the doctor to get a vaginal check up - then, Im afraid you will have to wait until your period has come to an end!. But, if its just a question you have, you can maybe have a chat with the doctor, and if she feels that she needs to take a look - make another appointment! xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Were you going to the OBGYN for the check up!? If so then you should probably wait until you are off your period!. I once called and rescheduled cause I had started my period and the nurse said " oh its good you called cause they won't do paps when you are on your period, just if you have weird blood and needs to be checked ASAP!." So I would just reschedule unless it's VERY urgent!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
