How to lessen the pain of menstrual cramps?!


Question: How to lessen the pain of menstrual cramps!?
I was wondering if there is some foods or drinks to avoid or to eat during, before, or after your period to make cramps not hurt so much!? and also i heard that it makes your period hurt more if you eat a lot of cold things and it soothes you to have warm things, is that true!?

a heating pad always worked for me!
i only had cramps the first day of my period!.
they coast like 20 bucks at rite aid!.
maybe less at wal-mart

i think you'd want to avoid caffine when on your period!. they can make cramps worse! and last longer!.
(at least that what it did to me)

i think i reamember hearing something about sugar can make things worse too but it never did for me

everyones different!.
but warm stuff always helped me and i've heard it helped a buncha my friends!.

You can try hot tea with lemon!. I think hot foods are more likely to be associated with "comfort foods" like mac and cheese or mashed potatoes, so they soothe us psychologically!.

I always found that doing housework, or exercise gets the blood flowing quicker and helps stop cramps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What i do is take a tylanol right when it starts! and take one every morning, mine dosent hurt for more than two days, but if yours does, just take a tylanol each morning and you will be fine for the rest of teh day :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eating bananas is a good way to lessen cramps, also being active and moving helps!. Try taking midol or ibuprofen too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
