ok, Im 14 years old and almost 15!. I just got over thyroid cancer!. Iv had 2 sergerys in the past 3 months!. Now i have to take this thyroid replacment pill for the rest of my life!. I have to go back to Atlanta to go see my doctor!. He's going to ask me if i feel any different after takeing this pill!. If i tell him no!.!. Will he go higher!? now iv herd from some people that if i tell him to go higher on my thyroid pill, it will make me loose weight!. is that true!?!?!?!?

I think that he's going to run a blood test to see how much thyroid hormone is in your blood and adjust from there!. If you say something like "I don't have much energy" or "I am nervous all the time", I'm sure he'd take that into consideration but he's going to test and get you into a normal range!. And yes, I think that thyroid pills can make you lose weight but there's a point at which they are dangerous!. You don't want to over do them!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Be straight with your new doctor!. It is very important to your health! Changing the dosage of your meds can be damaging to your health!. Also,ask him to arrange for your previous medical records to be sent to him!. Your medical history is important,too!. All you will need to supply will be the name of your old doctor and his address!. It may cost you a bit,mine cost me 12 dollars,but,believe me,it's worth it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
