Question: Birth control pill help!?
I am sixteen and I need some advice on how to ask my mother if I can get on the pill!. My mom is the kind of uptight mom who never had sex until she was married, so I cant use not getting pregnant as my main reason!. Even though she is really open about that kind of stuff!. How do I sit her down and go about asking her and persuading her to let me try it!. Irregular periods, i have major pms symptoms, acne!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you really want your mom's ok, then just sit her down and be honest!. Let her know all the reasons!. The more open and honest you are the more likely she'll be to understand and respect your decisions!. That's how I was when I talked to my mom about it!. If you want to go on the pill and don't care whether or not your mom knows then just go to Planned Parenthood!. They can give you an exam, put you on the pill, and won't contact your mom unless you give them permission!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Try talking to a doctor first!. Maybe you can dissuade him/her to give you a hormone prescription (similar to birth control pills - e!.g!. progesterone and estrogens) for your acne!. These hormones improve skin tone and reduce acne occurence!. This would be the best reason for you to get your mom's permission to use these pills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
