Better for what purpose!? This might be a better question!. Personally, I was taking Paxil about five years ago!. It did make a big difference for a while in my anxiety!. After about a year, it stopped working for me, and i started gaining weight on it!. I started weaning myself off - very hard to do, too, but saw my doctor, and she switched me to Zoloft, claiming Zoloft would help me to lose weight, too! In fact I even gained more weight while watching very carefully what I was eating, and exercising very regularly, too!. Zoloft also seemed to do nothing at all for my anxiety!. Then I was switched to Effexor!. I stopped gaining weight, but I couln't lose any either!. Effexor was somewhat effective for me for a while, but I wasn't totally impressed!. Eventually, the prozac option was offered to me after I totally weaned off Effexor, during with I had a lot of withdrawal effects!. It was was not good at all!. I finally considered generic prozac!. I loved it because it actually helped my anixety, and in the first two months of taking it, I had lost almost all the weight I had been steadily putting on during my years of taking the previous three meds!. That went a long way to making me feel better, too!.
So I would pick neither Paxil or Zoloft ultimately, from my experience, but if I HAD to pick one of them, I would pick Paxil (unless I was pregnant!. !. !. because of birth defects)!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

for psychotropic drugs there are strict indications for the use depending on your disorder, your other health issues, your lifestyle!.!.!.!. they also have severe side effects!. please discuss this question not with some strangers, who don't know anything about you in an internet forum but with your doctor!.

Although they are both are used for depression!. One may work for one person and not on the other!. It depends on you!. Paxil worst side effect is weight gain!. (speaking from experience)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I was on Paxil!. I gained weight and I basically went crazy!. It made me not care about ANYTHING!!! This was when It first came out though many years ago, so it may be different!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
