First period, some questions?!
Question: First period, some questions!?
Mother nature came to me yesterday, I'm guessing while I was at school!. At any rate I came home to a huge mess in my underwear!.
I decided to stay home from school today so I could get used to having my period, but I have some concerns for when I go back!.
How long does the bleeding usually last!?
All I've had so far was a pretty bad stomachache, will I usually get one during my period!?
I've never worn a purse and I'm pretty tomboyish!. Do you think people would care if I started carrying my purse around at school!?
I have gym class every day right after lunch!. I've talked to my mom about tampons and although she doesn't like them much, I might be able to get some!. However I doubt I'll have them by tomorrow!. How can I change into my gym clothes without being too obvious!?

Firstly congratulations! I hope you have something fun planned to celebrate :o)
The bleeding on average lasts 5-7 days, however as you are young your periods and menstrual cycle will be a little erratic so your first period may be longer or shorter, and a pattern to your periods might not show for a year or more!. You will find some days are heavier than normal
