well!.!.!.!.!.!.that tube up there can only hold so much, so it depends on how much lining sheds!. it's normal to suddenly be heavy, mine was like that a few days ago and now it's really light!. stress, exercise and diet change can cause irregularity in your periodWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's the lining of your womb that is being shed!. This can sometimes be heavier than normal some cycles or less!. If on a regular basis your periods are lasting for longer than 7 days and are generally very heavy, this can in theory put you at an increased risk of iron deficiency anaemia!. You'd need to see your GP if this is happening all the time!. If just a one off, and not long persistent bleeding, this is nothing to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, there is no fixed amount of blood that we women lose during a period!. It varies with each woman!. Sometimes we do have heavier periods, but if your bleeding goes on for a long while, you should go see your doc in case something is wrong!. Such things as fibroids can cause heavy bleeding or even just going through the menopause!.

I always think that we women should have a switch, where we can decide whether we want periods or not!. E,G, if we want children we would choose yes, and if no if we do not want children at that particular moment in our life!.

But then should men not have periods instead of us women, then they would know exactly what we have to put up with for most of our adult lives!

Sometimes it an be heavier than other times

and that's perfectly normal

Remember it's the lining of the womb that's coming away, ''

as no egg was fertilised

So what's normal for one person is not necessarily normal for the nextWww@Answer-Health@Com

apparently a 'normal' (whatever that is!) is 2 egg cups full off blood - yeh right!Www@Answer-Health@Com
