Question: Havent had my period for 2 years now!?
I had my period a few times but then it never came back!. It's been 2 years, and i know you guys are gonna tell me to see a doctor and I will but will they check!.!.!.!.!. down there!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, they will check "down there!." They may do an ultrasound as well--those are always fun! They'll likely want a blood sample, too!.

Look, if you're uncomfortable, find yourself a gynecologist or a general practitioner who is a FEMALE!. Quite frankly, I SWEAR BY female gynecologists AND doctors for female patients!.!.!.they're more gentle, they do sensible things like warming the speculum (nothing like an ice cold device up your hoo-whee to make you tense and nervous) and since they HAVE the equipment they are examining, they have a better understanding of your descriptions of how things are feeling "down there!."

Are you underweight!? Do you have an eating disorder!? Are you terribly stressed!? Or (and I know this is unlikely in the extreme) are you pushing fifty!? All of these reasons can cause your period to stop!.

Another thing that can cause your period to stop is simply premature menopause--it's not common but it does happen!.

Please, get the phonebook, ask around, get a referral from a trusted friend, but do find a doctor and get yourself checked!. Like I said, unless you are well into or past your middle age, you should be menstruating, and the reasons you aren't could be something very straightforward, or something VERY SERIOUS!.

Don't muck around now--get your courage together, and make that phone call!. Believe me, doctors have seen THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of "lady businesses" and yours will not be the first, or the last, or unusual to them in any way!. I urge you to get over your reluctance, and pick up the phone, please!

I know you'll be happier-- once you're all through a bit of embarrassment and discomfort --that you did!.

Best of luck--be strong, now!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Based on your question, it seem like you are very concerned and worried!. I understand not getting your period can be worrisome!. I suggest that you go to a doctor (gynecologist) immediately to check to it out!. Depending on the age, it may be normal like the rest of the people have been saying!. A woman's period normally regulates in their mid 20's!. So your cycle may just be every 2 years!. However, I totally recommend you go to a doctor and since it has to deal with your uterus, yes a doctor will have to check "down there"!. Good luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, how old are you now!? How old were you when you started getting your period!? Are you underweight or did you lose a lot of weight!? Anyway, without more info, it's hard to say, but yes, you'll need to go to a doctor, and it's likely they'll want to do a pelvic exam!. I'm guessing you're young, and I know the idea doesn't sound very fun to you, but believe me, it isn't 'fun' for anyone, but it's not that bad!. Pretty quick and trust me, they've seen so many 'areas' that they aren't going to be judging yours!. Better to deal with a few minutes of discomfort than to worry about your lifelong health!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

They may or may not check "down there" - and they'll also ask you questions!. If you're of an unhealthy weight, that can cause menstruation to stop, so if they've pegged the problem right there!. Either way, there probably will be a check - but you've waited far too long for this, you need to go in as soon as possible and get this taken care of!. Remember that they're doctors, this is their job and they do it every day, it's not a "sexual thing" for them, they want to help you be your healthiest!.

okay your not pregnant cause you would have only not had your period for 9 months and can obviously see if your preganant!. how old are you!? if your like 12 i think is okay!. if your 16 or older go see a doctor!. reason being, if your 16 and are not experiencing periods there is a problem!. sure you might just be a late bloomer but it doesn't hurt to be checked!. if i were you i would request a female doctor, so you feel much more comfortable!. don't be afraid talk your mom/grandma/aunt/friends mom, etc!. someone who you feel comfortable talking to!. good luck! just please go see a doctor!. this is the whole reason they are available for you!. you'll be fine! Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depending on how old you are!. I don't think a doctor would ask to look down there, but if it's necessary, and you feel uncomfortable, you can go to an all-women clinic!. You're supposed to get a pap smear every year, where they look "down there", anyway!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

it all depends on how old you are, if your young it's probably normal and yes your obgyn will check !.!. down there!. If your afraid that they'll tell your parents that you've been sexually active or anything like that, don't worry your obgyn cant tell your parents anything unless you tell them they can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

are you insane!? Why haven't you gotten checked out yet!? You know that this is not normal, otherwise you wouldn't be asking the question!.!.!. You can't be pregnant for 2 years!. It's impossible!.
Second of all, to answer your question!. What i've learnt is that it is normal for some girls not to have periods!. Most get them, some don't!. So don't worry about it, it doesn't mean your unable to have kids either!.
Www@Answer-Health@Com

First it depends on how old you are!. Otherwise you're right; you should see a doctor!. And they may check 'down there', as you put it!. But like I said, your age plays an important factor--goodness knows it may be menopause!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
