Question: I have brown discharge, is it my period!?
I am 12 years old and I have brown discharge coming out of my vagina!. It has sort of a smell and I havent had my period!. Is it my period!? It happend for 3 days including today!. I don't want to tell my mom I got it just incase I didn't!. I really want to be sure!. What is it!. PLEASE HELP! If its it how do i tell my mom I got it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you have started your first period!. You need to just tell her, she has had periods for many years and needs to know her little girl is growing up!. She will get pads for you and answer any questions you have!. It is a good time to open communication with your Mom about this kind of stuff!.
When you first start sometimes it is just a little bit, because you are young and not building up much lining in your uterus to have come out yet!. If you can't tell her, how about giving her a little note and then go back to your room!. She will come in and talk to you, I'm sure!.

yes it most likely is!.!.!. i had the same thing happen to me when i first got my period: i came home i say brown discharge but i thought it was just some awkward discharge not my period cause i thought if i had my period it would be dark brown and heavy but then it continued for like 5 days and then it got a bit heavier so i wore a pad and the next month i got a really heavy period!. anyways everyone gets their period differently but that's what happened to me, the same might have happened to you!.

Sweety im sure it is your period!. Your mom is the one and only person who can help you with that and you need to tell her as soon as possible!. If your afraid of telling her don't be! I promise you need to tell her!. I had a hard time telling my mom stuff so all you have to do is go to her and say mom i think i started my period can you help me! Im sure she would be very glad you told her!. I was the same way just tell her you were not sure how to tell her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be just a start of your first period but it also could be pre-menstruation discharge (signals for first period) - read below about first period and menstrual hygienic products!. And just tell your mother you need some padsWww@Answer-Health@Com
