In the UK women don't tend to see a gynacologist unless theres a problem, and even then, they see their GP (general practitioner) first!. Even when pregnant the GP and midwife tend to deal with the pregnancy unless there are complications!. If you have a 'girly' problem and you have access to a gynae id go see him/her!. From what i understand, in the USA women tend to see a gynaecologist for the routine stuff too so its probably a good idea to track down a good one as you might need them later on xWww@Answer-Health@Com
when a girl has become sexually active she should go to the gynecologist for checkups!. You should get a pap smear which is a test that is done to detect cervical cancer and abnormalities of the vagina!.this test should be done annually!.although going to the gynecologist is not fun it is needed for the health of a woman!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, you don't have to go!. If you want to die from cervical cancer or bleed to death when an ovarian cyst bursts, by all means don't have regular check ups with your gynecologist!.
